Rental Contract

Thanks for choosing to shop with us! Like you, we also love and understand the excitement of shopping. Our goal is your satisfaction; while we share the joy and fun of shopping with you, there is some important information you need to know before clicking that "place order" button. Below, we explain our agreement in simple terms to make your rental purchase easy. Please, contact us if you have any questions during your rental experience: info@dimebridalboutique.com .

By placing a rental order with us, you agree to our full terms and conditions on our website. No terms will be waived or modified. 

1. The rental cost of our garments depends on the garment's retail price at the time of the rental. The day you schedule the rental, you'll pay the rental fee plus a security deposit ranging from $5 to $3,000 depending on the garment type. Your security deposit will be refunded once we receive the returned garment and confirm that it is in its original condition.  

2. All payments must be made by credit or debit card. We accept debit or credit cards from these providers: Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. We'll keep your card information on file for 30 days after the date of your return garment if there are any additional charges like late fees or damage to our garment. We at Dime Boutique reserve the right to determine whether a garment exceeds the wear and tear allowance. Fees will be assessed and charged to the credit card you used to place your order. 

3. Orders will be shipped to you via United Parcel Service (UPS). Orders placed a month or more before your event date will arrive two weeks before the event date. We will do our best to quickly ship orders placed less than a month before your event. But please remember that it takes approximately two to three business days to process and ship orders. We will provide you with enough time to make sure the garment fits and is to your satisfaction before your event. You can track your shipment on the UPS website using the tracking number in your confirmation email.

4. Please notify us immediately if you anticipate canceling your rental. You'll receive a full refund if you cancel within the first 24 hours. After 24 hours, a $20 cancelation fee will be assessed for the refund. There will be a non-refundable $100 fee for any order canceled one week before your event date. We charge a $120 fee for returns on orders placed within six days of an event. We do not provide a refund for a garment that is delivered but that you have not worn. Garments returned to us on the date agreed upon will be considered worn. 

5. Your satisfaction is our highest priority. Therefore, all our garments are carefully monitored and photographed before leaving our warehouse. For best results, please use the DRESS MEASUREMENT CALCULATOR on our website to make sure that you're ordering the right size for your garment. If you receive a garment that doesn't fit, no worries! 

Here's what to do if a garment doesn't fit:  

Put the garment back in the bag labeled "Return Garment Bag" and take the envelope labeled "Return Label" to a UPS location near you. DO NOT PACKAGE RETURN ITEMS OR EXCHANGE ITEMS. We at Dime Boutique pay UPS to package your return. You must take the garment [ in the "Return Garment Bag"] and the shipping label we provide to a UPS location. There, UPS will package the item and confirm your return. We will begin processing your return or exchange once we receive your garment in its original condition. We pay for all shipping and courier fees. 

6. If you choose not to receive a replacement garment, that's fine, too. In that case, we can do store credit or a full refund

Here are the requirements for receiving a refund for single and multiple dresses:

  • You must try on the garment(s) the day you receive it.
  • You are required to inform us within 24 hours of trying on the garment(s)to request a refund.
  • We will email you an email approval of your return.
  • You have 48 hours after the approval email to return the garment(s)—take it to a UPS location for processing.
  • Remember that we do not provide a refund for a garment that is delivered but that you have not worn. 
  • Any garment returned to us on the agreed-upon date will be considered worn. 
  • All returns are subject to our wear and tear policy. Fees will be assessed and charged to the credit card you used to place your order. [We only accept debit or credit cards from these providers: Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover]  
  • Once we receive the garments in the condition that they were shipped to you, we will process your refund. Please read our rental contract for more information on our refund policy.

7. If you would like to exchange your garment, you will be charged the difference if the new item is more expensive. We will refund the difference if the new option costs less than the initial purchase.

8. Keep in mind that these garments are expensive! Any damage or loss of a garment will require full replacement. Simply put, you will have to pay the full price of the garment so we can replace it. 

9. We take care of all the cleaning of our garments. So please don't try to do it yourself or pay anyone else to do it. You will be responsible for any damage to the garment due to cleaning by you or a third party.

10. We clean our garments with safe, biodegradable chlorinated solvents. However, we are not responsible for adverse reactions to our cleaning agents.

11. We do not perform, offer, or allow alterations on our garments. If a dress doesn't fit, please exchange it. Any alterations will be considered damage to the garment. We will then charge your card on file for the full retail price of the garment.

12. If you receive a garment with creases, don't panic! 

  • We're totally fine with you steaming the garment in the safest way possible. 
  • Ironing is not the most delicate way to remove wrinkles, so NEVER IRON OUR GARMENTS.
  • Know that some fabrics cannot be steamed. These fabrics include waxed jackets, suede, or materials that may melt, such as plastic.
  • Always check the fabric care label for advice before steaming.
  • To avoid damage, fabrics with embellishments and prints must be steamed from the inside.
  • DO NOT STEAM in one area of the fabric for more than a minute.

13. Done with your event? Great! Know that garments being shipped back to us will only be subject to late fees if shipped later than the agreed-upon date. 

14. Our business depends on scheduling garment shipments on time. Late returns prevent us from preparing garments for on-time shipments. So please, read our late return policy. 

You will have four business days after your event date to return the dress. There will be a late fee of $25 for each day a garment is late. After being late for five business days, you will be charged 50% of the retail price. If a dress is ten days late, you will be charged 75% of the retail price. After 14 days, the garment will be considered unreturned, and you will be responsible for 100% of the garment's retail price.
